Overview

The workshop is structured around the proprietary COLORS Paradigm™, which stands for Culture, Objectives, Lessons, Opportunities, Resilience and Safety. Through engaging activities and group discussions, participants will explore NRECA’s definitions of diversity, equity and inclusion, and learn practical strategies for creating and supporting a workplace culture that values and supports all individuals. The workshop aims to empower participants to promote diversity, equity and inclusion in their workplaces and communities, ultimately fostering unity and collaboration.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Understand the importance of unity in building effective teams and fostering camaraderie.
  • Understand the definitions of diversity, equity and inclusion and their importance in creating an inclusive workplace.
  • Utilize the COLORS Paradigm™ to explore and assess the DEI culture within their organization.
  • Recognize and overcome common challenges to developing cultural humility.
  • Develop a personal strategy for increasing cultural competence and promoting inclusion in the workplace.
