Understanding the IRS Form 990 - The form 990 provides the invaluable information for many uses. The information, once submitted, is available to the public. For Boards and leadership, it can be an important tool for communicating key messages with cooperative membership. Board members and leadership must be able to answer questions about the form as needed. Therefore, understanding the Form 990 is important for all involved in cooperative governance. This article is an excellent summary of the key points included in Form 990. 

Five Fundamentals of Leaders - A good leader might be lucky or follow happenstance. But a great leader must work at it.  Kim Christiansen, NRECA’s managing director of governance and business strategies offers five fundamentals that are key to great leadership.
