Overview

​​​Cyberattacks, especially ransomware attacks, are making headlines worldwide. Cooperatives of all sizes need to continue to strengthen the security of their organizations. Join us for a one-day online RC3 Cybersecurity Summit to learn more about what you can do to improve your co-op's cybersecurity posture. The Summit will include speakers, peer-to-peer interactions, and a special opportunity to practice your co-op's incident response capabilities using a “mini" version of NRECA's CyberSEEC distributed play cybersecurity exercise. ​​​


who should attend

The Summit will provide a mix of introductory and advanced material, appropriate for all staff including CEOs/GMs, non-IT staff, and IT professionals.


equipment needed

The summit and the CyberSEEC exercise will be offered via Webex. If you haven't previously used Webex Meetings, download the application. Also, you may want to take a moment to review this short instructional video that explains some WebEx basics.

You will need the following equipment to successfully participate in the morning and afternoon sessions:

  • PC or desktop computer with camera​ (iPad screens may be too small).
  • Broadband internet connection.
  • ​A telephone in the event your computer sound and microphone do not suffice.​

In addition, if you are participating in the CyberSEEC exercise you will need to log in to DECIDE(R)​​​​​, an exercise scenario platform operated by NUARI. You will need the following equipment to successfully participate in CyberSEEC:

  • PC or desktop computer​
  • A telephone in the event your computer sound and microphone do not suffice.​​
  • Preferred browsers are Chrome, Edge, Firefox. Use of older Internet Explorer versions, Safari or tablets may impact functionality. iPads are not recommended.​​

​The RC3 Program is dedicated to ensuring all co-op staff can attended cybersecurity training events regardless of ability to pay. To ensure there is funding available to support additional RC3 Program events, please pay what you can based on the sliding scale: $0​, $25​, $​50, $75, $100​
