Guest/spouse registration includes Expo, shuttle and meal functions that are not ticketed. It excludes materials and sessions. Note: tickets to America's Electric Cooperatives PAC Breakfast and Entertainment Night are an additional charge and are non-refundable and non-transferable. To purchase these tickets, please visit
My Registrations to access your registration record and add them.
What happens if a pre-conference workshop or director training class is waitlisted? How will I know if a spot becomes available?
If a spot becomes available, the next person on the waitlist will receive an email with a link to complete registration and payment for the workshop. You will have
three days to complete your purchase and confirm your spot. If you do not complete the process within three days, your spot will be offered to the next person on the waitlist.
How is registration handled for VIP groups?
NRECA will register members of the NRECA Board of Directors and their guests. These individuals will be contacted directly. Statewide officials (president, manager and editor) and platinum associate members register themselves. (For VIP hotel reservations, see Hotels & Housing below.)
Ineligible Registration Policy
All registrations are reviewed to ensure they meet the NRECA eligibility requirements. NRECA reserves the right to refuse or cancel all ineligible registrations at any time and shall not be held accountable for any external fees associated with any cancellation.

3. Badges & Tickets
Will my badge be mailed to me?
No. Badges will be printed on site. Badge-printing locations and hours will be included in the online schedule and in the Know-Before-You-Go email sent approximately 2 weeks before the event.
How do I print my badge?
In early Feb., registered attendees will receive an email with a QR code to use at an onsite badge-printing station. Simply scan the QR code to print your badge. If you don't have your QR code, you can enter your confirmation ID or first and last name. Registration staff will be available to assist if needed.
If you registered attendees on behalf of others, you will receive an email confirming that their badge email has been sent.
Can I print badges for members of my group?
Yes. You can print badges for members of your group. Please coordinate with your group members, as each badge can only be printed once at a badge station.
What if my badge is lost or needs to be reprinted?
If you need to reprint a badge, please visit main registration. Replacement badges cannot be printed at a self-service station.
How will I receive tickets for ticketed events?

4. Hotels & Housing
How do I reserve a hotel room?
After completing conference registration, you will immediately have access to make hotel reservations within the same platform. Before the housing deadline, reservations must be made through the official NRECA Housing Center to be included in the NRECA room block.
What is the housing reservation deadline?
There are two important dates this year, unique to 2027 PowerXchange, TechAdvantage and the Expo:
-
Dec. 16, 2026—State Block Cut-off: Members must reserve their room within their state's block by this date.
-
Jan. 6, 2027—Hotel Cut-off: The final date to make or change a hotel reservation for the convention overall.
What happens if my state doesn't fill its block by December 16?
Any unreserved rooms in a state block will be released back into the general convention hotel inventory after Dec. 16. Reservations and changes can still be made —just not guaranteed within that state's specific hotel block—through January 6.
My state hasn't secured all member housing by Dec. 16. What should we do?
Please contact the Housing Center for assistance,
nrecapxta@showcare.com.
Who is the official housing provider?
Showcare is the official housing provider for 2027 NRECA PowerXchange, TechAdvantage and the Expo. NRECA is responsible only for rooms secured through the official NRECA Housing Center. Report unauthorized housing solicitations to
conventionhousing@nreca.coop
How are hotel reservations handled for VIP groups?
As a courtesy to the NRECA Board of Directors and their guests, as well as statewide officials (president, manager and editor), reservations are secured through a separate reservation process with special housing arrangements. These individuals and/or their assistants will be contacted directly for information. Members may choose to opt out of this process and secure reservations through the online system, if applicable.
What does “Hotel Pending" mean?
“Hotel Pending" means your reservation request has been received and will be processed as soon as additional hotel inventory is secured or an alternate hotel is identified. Members who select “Hotel Pending" will receive an email confirmation with the hotel name, location and rate once their hotel has been confirmed. NRECA guarantees a guest room to all members who secure a reservation through the NRECA Housing Center before the published cut-off date.
How do I request dates that are not available online?
Members who would like to extend their stay beyond the available room-block dates, or find that their preferred hotel or specific nights are available online, may request additional nights based on hotel availability. First, make your reservation online for any available dates, then contact the Housing Center at nrecapxta@showcare.com to request preferred arrival and/or departure dates.
The Housing Center works closely with NRECA's convention hotels to accommodate extended-stay requests whenever possible. This process applies if your preferred hotel is sold out, certain nights are unavailable, or you would like to arrive earlier or stay later than the published room block dates.
Additional nights are subject to hotel availability and are not guaranteed. The Housing Center will confirm your request as soon it receives an update from the hotel.
Please note: Requested room night(s) is not guaranteed until it has been officially confirmed by the NRECA Housing Center.
How do I request nights outside of the available room-block dates?
Members who would like to extend their stay beyond the available room-block dates may request additional nights based on hotel availability. Please first make a reservation online for any available dates, then contact the Housing Center at
nrecapxta@showcare.com to request a change to your preferred arrival and/or departure dates.
The Housing Center works closely with NRECA's convention hotels to accommodate extended-stay requests whenever possible. Confirmation of additional nights is subject to hotel availability and is not guaranteed. The Housing Center will provide confirmation as soon as updates are received from the hotel.
What should I do if I miss the housing deadline?

conventionhousing@nreca.coop for further assistance.
When will I receive my hotel confirmation?
Once your hotel reservation request has been
completed and secured with a valid credit card, an immediate booking acknowledgement will be emailed by NRECA's Housing Center to both the attendee and the person who completed the registration, if they are different individuals. This acknowledgement confirms that your reservation has been secured. Please review the information carefully to ensure it is accurate. If you do not receive the booking acknowledgement within
two to three business days of completing your reservation request, please contact the Housing Center at
nrecapxta@showcare.com.
Hotel confirmations will be emailed by Showcare at the end of January. The confirmation will include your hotel name, confirmation number, location, stay dates, guest name and room rate. If you have not received your hotel confirmation by
Feb. 1, 2027, please contact the Housing Center at
nrecapxta@showcare.com.
What is the NRECA's hotel cancellation policy?
-
Cancel by the deadline: To avoid a cancellation fee, email the Housing Center at
nrecapxta@showcare.com by Jan. 6, 2027 at 9 p.m. ET.
-
Cancellations after the deadline: Cancellations made after the deadline will be charged a
non-refundable deposit equal to one night's room rate and tax to the credit card used to guarantee the reservation.
NRECA's housing cancellation policy overrides any hotel policies regarding room cancellations.
-
No-shows: If you do not cancel your reservation and do not arrive at the hotel on your scheduled check-in date, a no-show fee equal to one night's room and tax will be charged to the credit card provided at the time of booking. Additionally, the entire reservation may be cancelled.
