More than 5,000 co-op leaders from across the country gathered in Nashville, Tennessee for NRECA's first
in-person annual meeting of members under its new name and renewed mission:
PowerXchange.
Through general sessions featuring nationally renowned leaders, educational breakout sessions and interactive learning sessions, PowerXchange is THE place where cooperative leaders can come together to share ideas, strategies and best practices while casting their vote on future-focused issues.
From the main stage to the small stage, our learning and conversations were centered around three main issues impacting co-ops today:

[accordion title="The%20Future%20of%20Electric%20Power"]With all of the changes the electric power sector has undergone over the last three decades, can electric cooperatives remain steadfast in delivering safe, affordable and reliable power? We'll explore these issues in depth, inviting conversations and idea sharing among our network of cooperative leaders. [/accordion]
[accordion title="Co-ops%20at%20Work"]Increasingly, the work of leaders and teams will be adaption. We’ll hear from workforce experts and cooperative leaders on how they are elevating their co-op culture, management style and employee attraction and engagement focus to keep and grow the cooperative advantage. [accordion title="Making%20the%20Shift%20from%20Reactive%20to%20Proactive%20Leadership"]The electric power industry has a long history of responding well in times of disaster. But today’s risk events go well beyond fires ice storms, hurricanes and flooding. We will discuss leading practices for risk management, crisis communications and proactive leadership that can help co-ops to move forward even when there are unseen hazards ahead. [/accordion]
