How the Course WorksThe CCC program is designed to provide a dynamic and intensive learning experience, blending in-person sessions with virtual components for a powerful and flexible approach to your professional development.
In-Person Sessions
These required sessions are pivotal for your growth and building your network and are held near NRECA Headquarters in Arlington, Virginia, and the Fluno Center for Executive Education in Madison, Wisconsin.
Blended Learning
A mix of in-person training and virtual modules allow you to complete these required parts of the curriculum from your co-op or home, drastically reducing time away and minimizing related expenses.
Ongoing Assessment
Your progress is tracked through quizzes following each class, ensuring you grasp key concepts immediately and reinforcing your learning.
Final Project
Completion of a final project is mandatory to graduate from the CCC program, allowing you to demonstrate the skills and knowledge gained throughout the course.
Maintain Your CCC Designation
On an annual basis, NRECA will conduct an audit, randomly selecting a number of CCCs to provide proof of continuing education fulfillment. All CCCs should maintain documentation of their continuing education participation.
To keep your designation as an active Certified Cooperative Communicator (CCC), you must accumulate at least 1.0 continuing education units (CEUs) each year, and pay the annual professional fee (currently set at $175). Most CCCs fulfill their annual CEU requirement by attending Connect or a statewide communications conference.
