The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) envisions microgrids as essential building blocks of the future electricity delivery system by 2035. These microgrids can support resilience, decarbonization and affordability. Key accounts can benefit significantly from microgrids, although some solutions remain too expensive to implement as standalone projects. The National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) has been exploring a partnership approach to developing microgrids that deliver win-win-win scenarios for electric cooperatives, their key accounts and their communities.
Join us for an insightful panel discussion aimed at providing an understanding of microgrids, their benefits, and how co-ops can enhance their energy resiliency to serve their key accounts. Moderated by NRECA’s Energy Solutions Director, Tolu Omotoso, the panel features two forward-thinking co-op leaders who will share their vision for the future of energy delivery. They will discuss how they have been collaborating with their key accounts to design and deploy microgrids with multiple use cases and stackable benefits.
Learning Objectives- Understand the role of microgrids in the future electricity delivery system.
- Identify the potential advantages key accounts can gain from the adoption of microgrids.
