Overview

October 15, 2019

Most electric cooperatives are exempt from federal income taxation. If, however, an electric cooperative loses its exemption, then it becomes “nonexempt” or “taxable.” If it continues operating as a cooperative, then it becomes a taxable electric cooperative. This free webinar will explore what it means to be a taxable electric cooperative.

Key Takeaways:

  • Learn what federal tax law applies to a taxable electric cooperative
  • Learn how taxable electric cooperatives are treated under federal tax law
