Overview

Cyberattacks are a real and unavoidable threat for electric cooperatives. How we prepare, communicate and respond to cyber events all factor into the public's response. But until now, it has not been clear how consumer-members perceive co-op cybersecurity or what role proactive messaging should play.

NRECA's new cybersecurity lexicon builds off of the findings of the original lexicon project. It uses co-op consumer research to build out a message track that can proactively bolster public confidence in the cyber readiness of co-ops and mitigate confusion and concern in the wake of an event.

Hear findings from that research project and learn what words to use and lose as you discuss cybersecurity with your consumer-members, policymakers and other stakeholders.

During this webinar, you will:

  • Hear findings from the new cyber lexicon
  • Unpack what these findings mean for local co-ops
  • Learn how to apply them in your co-op's day-to-day communications efforts
