In December 2020, NRECA held, New Funding Available for Co-ops Serving Military Communities, a webinar introducing members to The Defense Community Infrastructure Pilot Program (DCIP). The program is designed to address deficiencies in community infrastructure supportive of a military installation in order to enhance the military value, resilience or military family quality of life. In Fiscal Year 2021, $60 million is appropriated to this program. Only state, local governments and rural electric cooperatives are eligible to receive the grant awards, providing a unique opportunity for co-ops to submit proposals to possibly receive this funding.
Join us April 22 for a free webinar providing a Fiscal Year 2021 update and overview of the DCIP funding opportunity for electric co-ops and how NRECA can help our members that serve military communities apply for these cooperative grants. Don't miss the chance to learn more about how to maximize your opportunity to potentially receive funding through the DCIP.
