Overview

Safety performance excellence requires a strategic approach and leaders at all levels of the organization working in concert with one another — leading by example and influencing others through trust, credibility, and passionate commitment. This 2.5-day workshop enables co-op management and staff to expand their capability and effectiveness by leveraging NRECA’s safety programs, education & training, and other resources as a framework to apply four basic skills as highly capable safety leaders regardless of their job title, rank, or tenure.
Learning Objectives

At the end of this education & training, participants will be able to:

  • Explain how NRECA’s safety programs, education & training, and other resources complement one another and provide a customizable framework for safety achievement.
  • Illustrate their cooperative’s strategic approach to safety and explain their role, responsibilities, and opportunities to expand their safety leadership capability.
  • Create a strong safety accountability system to support their approach to safety.
  • Create connectivity between safety, business operations, and employees.
  • Identify how to earn personal credibility with employees by demonstrating credible consciousness.
  • Build high levels of trust in business relationships.
  • Develop a personal action plan to improve safety leadership capability.
