The J.C. Brown Award recognizes an electric cooperative or public power district chief executive officer/general manager commi​​tted to advancing communication at the cooperative and in the electric cooperative industry.

The Spotlight on Excellence Awards

The Spotlight on Excellence Aw​ards program recognizes a body of outstanding work produced by electric cooperative communication and marketing professionals from across the country. The 18​ categories reflect the wide scope and valuable contributions of co-op communicators today.

The LaBerge Award for Excellence in Strategic Communication

The LaBerge Award recognizes an electric cooperative communicator with demonstrated excellence, influence, and impact in co-op communications, both as a practitioner and contributor across Co-op Nation.

Deadline: March 7, 2025​. The award winner is recognized at the Connect Conference.

The Autry Award for 'Always O​n' Communication

The Autry Award is a "lifetime achievement" recognition acknowledging an electric cooperative communicator who has made an extraordinary impact and contribution to the practice of "Always On" communication.

Statewide Publication Awards


​The George W. Haggard Memorial Journalism Award

The Haggard Award is an annual honor presented by NRECA recognizing an electric cooperative statewide consumer publication that best presents “lucid, forthright contributions to electric cooperative objectives.”

The SEA Willies Awards

The SEA Willies Awards recognize outstanding work produced by electric cooperative statewide consumer publications. The 13 categories cover editorial content, design, photography/illustrations and digital communications.
