The Spotlight on Excellence Awards program recognizes exceptional work produced by electric cooperative communication and marketing professionals across the country.
For 2027, NRECA is revamping the Spotlight on Excellence Awards to showcase co-op communications in five core areas: Content & Storytelling, Digital & Social Communications, Visual & Multimedia, Wildcard and Strategic Communication Campaign.

As always, co-op entries will be grouped by co-op size and type to ensure fair competiton.
Other changes for 2027 include a simplified entry process, judging updates, expanded recognition and a peer-to-peer feedback option.

We are excited to announce more improvements to enhance and streamline the entry process, including:
Early Bird Discount
Members who submit their entries between Sept. 14 - 25, 2026 will receive a 20% discount per entry!
Call for Entries Period
The call for entries period has been shortened and moved up to avoid entry deadlines near the holiday season. Entries will be accepted from Sept. 14 - Oct. 26, 2026.
