Overview

bird-perched-on-electricity-pole-2865415 (1).jpgBird and other animal interactions with powerlines and substations can lead to costly outages, regulatory compliance risks, wildfire hazards, and negative public perception. With nationwide declines of avian species and potential changes to federal regulations, continued and increased scrutiny of electric industry impacts to birds is expected. This webinar series is designed to assist NRECA members with mitigating risks associated with avian interactions with electric infrastructure.

Join us on Tuesdays throughout March to discuss the applicability to transmission and distribution cooperatives and emerging avian issues. We'll introduce the NRECA Avian Protection Toolkit NEW which provides members with resources to improve system reliability, while minimizing avian interactions.
