Overview

On November 7, 2021, Delta-Montrose Electric Association (DMEA) was the victim of a cyberattack. DMEA discovered a targeted effort to access portions of their internal network system by an unauthorized third party. While their power grid and fiber network remained unaffected by the incident, DMEA lost 90% of internal network function and a good portion of data (including saved documents, spreadsheets and forms) was corrupted. Join members of NRECA’s cybersecurity team for this free hourlong webinar to learn more about the cybersecurity incident at DMEA and the immediate and lasting impacts on the cooperative.

Learning Objectives:

  • What happened at DMEA?

  • What can we learn from DMEA’s situation?
