Does Solar Make Sense?

This course helps lower the cost of co-op owned solar, reduce project risks, and squeeze soft costs. Because of a unique partnership with NRECA, the U.S. Department of Energy, NRUCFC, and over a dozen electric cooperatives, we’re able to offer this course.

Purpose

To discuss solar market trends and provide cooperatives with a decision framework should they choose to move forward in implementing solar

  • The current state of the market and expectations of PV installation growth

  • The financial advantages of utility-scale PV

  • The common goals and motivations behind offering solar to members

  • The considerations for building a strategic business plan

  • The first steps in s​olar implementation process
