Overview

Storytelling is central to human communication. Even as technology evolves and new media emerges, the art of storytelling remains the most effective way to relay information and build connections. It makes facts more memorable, ideas more persuasive, and your message more engaging. And in this quickly evolving industry, getting your point across quickly and clearly is more important than ever. You have a compelling story to tell about your co-op. Taught by Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management facilitator Andrew Sykes, this 3-day workshop will teach you how to build and deliver your co-op's story in ways that get people to listen and take action.

What you will learn

This course is delivered in 7 modules where you will:

  • Learn why and how stories have the power to change minds.
  • Discover how to make fantastic first impressions that last, turning small talk into big moments.
  • Craft and share your Cooperative Origin Story.
  • Unlock the method to tell moving stories.
  • Understand the difference between being emotional and using emotion.
  • Uncover the four story categories that will win over your stakeholders.
  • Practice creating and telling a story that brings data to life.
