Interest in technologies associated with carbon capture has been growing rapidly in both the public and private sectors in recent years, as government and industry grapple with how to move cost effectively to a low-carbon future. Through its National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL), the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is supporting the testing of a wide range of technologies. An overview of carbon capture technologies — both current and emerging — and the projects based on them
can help co-ops decide which technologies to learn more about and which may be best suited for their
particular needs.
