Leadership is a journey, and great leaders recognize that they must always continue to learn and grow. As you start on this leadership journey, there are several roads you can take. NRECA offers a leadership self-assessment to aid you in identifying your specific development areas as an electric cooperative leader.

Drawn from NRECA’s Electric Cooperative Employee Competencies, the assessment can provide valuable insights around strengths and skill gaps, and opportunities for training, coaching and mentoring. The assessment is designed to help you understand which of NRECA's supervisory, management and leadership courses and events may be most appropriate for you.

Supervisory, Management and Leadership Competencies

The assessment will ask you to respond to specific questions pertaining to each of NRECA's Supervisor, Management and Leadership competency areas:

  • Governance and Strategy
  • External Leadership
  • Getting Results
  • Working With and Through Others
  • Doing the Right Thing
