The
fifth generation (5G) telecommunication antennas and equipment placement
in existing utility infrastructure is a growing area of concern, especially
with more 5G equipment being co-located on utility assets. NEETRAC reviewed current 5G antenna technology and engaged with utility and telecommunications company representatives to identify various issues and potential benefits as 5G communications are deployed on electric grid infrastructure.
