Substantial changes have been proposed for IEEE
Standard1547.1 and the draft is being prepared for ballot. This standard sets
the testing and verification requirements for distributed energy resources
(DER) interconnections and is very important to America’s Electric Cooperatives. We encourage co-op engineering and operations
(E&O) professionals to join the ballot pool to ensure that the co-op
perspective is well represented in the development process for this standard. This
advisory explains how to join the ballot pool.
