There is continued emphasis in optimizing how electric distribution systems are designed and operated. Since 2013, NRECA has worked on a DOE grant called Grid Engineering for Accelerated Renewable Energy Deployment (GEARED) with the Mid-America Regional Microgrid Education and Training Consortium (MARMET) to develop curriculum for the next generation of engineers. In addition to working with universities, NRECA has partnered with one of our Associate Members, SOS Intl, a leading training provider for electric utilities, to offer our distribution and G&T members access to online computer-based self-paced training courses at an NRECA negotiated discounted price. Access to these courses will be for one year from the date of registration. Discounted price is available until September 30, 2019.
