NRECA has regulatory and legislative staff dedicated to representing your co-op's broadband interests through direct advocacy. For example, NRECA has been advocating that Congress and federal agencies:
Prioritize networks and technologies that can deliver speeds at or above 100/100 Mbps.
Develop accurate national broadband maps.
Provide states flexibility on what data can determine unserved and underserved areas and to not water down definitions of those areas.
Provide additional middle mile network funding.
Maintain the co-op pole attachment exemption.
Allow additional flexibility in recognition of the shortage of domestically produced equipment and materials as well as ongoing workforce challenges.
