Rural cooperative communities often skew older, a demographic group that may be less familiar with new technology. NRECA Broadband is teaming up with AARP's Older Adults Technology Services group to deliver a curriculum that educates seniors on the value of broadband. Offering this content—which is free to NRECA Broadband participants—can help co-ops increase their take rates while also connecting more of the community.
On July 10, the AARP OATS team held a webinar entitled “Senior Planet Licensing Information Session" to inform NRECA Broadband participants about available learning modules, training and support, and how your co-op can roll this curriculum out to the seniors in your area.
