​​​​​​​​For cooperatives that are exploring technologies to mitigate their fossil fuel-fired power plants’ environmental impact, one possible option may be the use of hydrogen as a generating fuel. As interest in the use of hydrogen for low- or zero-emission power generation grows, various groups have initiated research, development and demonstration projects – and the bipartisan infrastructure bill provides significant funding for regional hydrogen hubs where RD&D programs can be conducted.
