It is based on the CEATI Thermal Generation Interest Group's report Best Practice Guidelines for the Management of Pressure Parts in Power Plants. Article 1: Boiler Pressure Parts: Damage Mechanisms and Inspection Guidelines Focuses on the various damage mechanisms that affect boiler pressure components, and the techniques, codes and standards used in pressure part inspection. Article 2 - Maintenance and Repair Strategies, Component Integrity Analysis Discusses a staged approach to component integrity and maintenance and repair issues; strategies; and the pressure parts management program for each critical component system. Article 3 - Component Management Strategy and Summary of Pressure Parts Management Program Examines the component management strategy and its link with preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, and predictive maintenance approaches to the pressure equipment; and the importance of building an accurate database of pressure parts/components in power plants as part of component management strategy.
