Traditional energy conservation efforts can be advantageous to consumers, but for some lower income households, there may be more cost-effective options for lowering energy bills. Public Utilities Fortnightly (PUF) has published a new analysis of the role of beneficial electrification for all incomes, written by Keith Dennis, NRECA's Senior Director for Strategic Initiatives, Business & Technology Strategies. This advisory reviews the analysis and opportunities for cooperatives and other utility providers to promote "Beneficial Electrification" as a strategy to save consumers money and enhance product quality, while helping to meet environmental goals.
