Hobby:
Barrel racing

How long have you been barrel racing?
My whole life. The family joke is that I was born on the back of a horse.

How did you get into it?
My dad trained harness racehorses for more than 30 years, and my mom barrel raced, so you could say that I was born with racing in my blood.

What do you love about it?
I think it is amazing the bond you can build with a 1,000-pound animal.

How often do you train?
I try to ride daily at home and compete almost every weekend.

How did you hear about the job at Owen Electric?
A family friend told me about the position.

What were you doing before you joined the co-op?
I worked in health care and took care of mentally disabled patients. It was a very emotionally exhausting job but also a very rewarding one. I was ready for change and something new.

What do you like most about working at the co-op?
I really like my co-workers. They have become like family. I think it is a great place to work, and I feel very fortunate to be here.

What else do you like doing in your free time?
I enjoy hanging with my family and friends, boating and attending country concerts. Summertime is my favorite. There are all kinds of fun activities to do!

Education:
Associate’s degree in medical billing and coding

Random fact:
