Hobby: Disc golf

How and when did you start playing disc golf?

My husband introduced me to it about a year ago. I started tagging along with him and his brother to get some steps in, but soon had an interest in playing.

For those who don’t know, what exactly is disc golf?

Disc golf is very similar to golf, but instead of a ball, you’re using a disc that’s similar to a frisbee.

Do you play competitively?

No, I just do it for fun!

What do you like most about it?

It’s fun to have a hobby my husband and I can do together.

How did you hear about the job at Jackson EMC?

A previous coworker reached out and told me they were hiring a recruiter. I was excited for the opportunity.

What did you know about the electric co-op before taking the job?

I always had an interest in joining Jackson EMC. I loved the idea of working for a nonprofit in my community.

What were you doing before you joined the co-op?

I worked in IT recruiting in Atlanta.

What do you like most about working at the co-op?

My favorite thing about being at Jackson EMC is the culture. The people here are so kind and welcoming.

What else do you enjoy doing in your free time?

Going on hikes, playing golf with my husband, gardening, baking and shopping.

Education: Bachelor’s in communication from the University of North Georgia.

Random fact: I’m expecting my first baby girl this year!
