Hobby: I'm an enthusiastic Great Lakes salmon fisherman.

How long have you been fishing?

I have been fishing since I was 4 or 5 years old.

Where is your favorite place to go?

I love fishing for giant salmon on Lake Michigan and chasing muskies and walleyes at the family cabin on Leech Lake.

What do you enjoy most about it?

I like the chase and trying to figure out what the fish want. But I love teaching how to rig for salmon and work together as a crew.

What's the biggest fish you've ever caught?

I've caught several 30-pound king salmon, but the largest was a 52-inch muskie!

How did you hear about the job at ECE?

I heard about the posting from a friend and then saw it on ECE's website and knew right away that it was perfect for me.

What were you doing before you joined the co-op?

I was a designed services/operations supervisor for CenturyLink for 18 years. I managed the field forces that installed and maintained the GPON/broadband infrastructure and repaired the fiber cables.

What do you like about working at the co-op?

I love that the co-op is so focused on serving its members and employees with real values. It feels like family, and the teamwork is amazing.

What else do you like doing in your free time?

Camping, biking and hanging out at the cabin with my family.

Education: I attended the University of Minnesota.

Something most people don't know about you: I was an extra/stand-in for the movie “The Mighty Ducks" and gave Emilio Estevez a ride on the Zamboni. That part was not in the movie. I was a Zamboni driver at the ice rink where the movie was filmed.
