• Member Services and Design Specialist
  • South Central Indiana REMC, Martinsville, Indiana
  • Co-op employee since July 2020
  • Birthplace: I grew up in Ecuador, where I met my husband.

How many countries have you lived in? I’ve lived in six countries (Germany, the United States, Mali, England, and China) on four different continents.

How many languages do you speak? I am fluent in English, Spanish, and German, and I know basic French and Chinese.

Hobbies: I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, and outside activities like fishing, kayaking, and camping.

Volunteering: I volunteer for the Women of Wuhan (WOW)—a nonprofit that raises funds to support students who have lost parents or caregivers to AIDS and want to finish their education. The sponsorship starts when kids turn 14 until they graduate from college. Students have graduated as doctors, engineers, and scientists. Last year the group raised over 80,000 Yuan to sponsor approximately 20 students, and I accepted an award on behalf of the group. Thanks to many amazing women, WOW has sponsored more than 250 students in the past 15 years.

What were you doing before you joined the co-op? I was a marketing communicator for Leadership Development International in Wuhan, China. In January 2020, we left Wuhan for a holiday, and before we could return, the city went into strict lockdown due to COVID-19. Unable to return, we moved back home to Indiana.

How did you hear about the job at the co-op? Through a friend who works at another Indiana co-op.

What do you like most about your work? I have always valued the co-op principles.

Education: I graduated from Indiana University with a major in communications and a minor in art history. I also have a German degree in business and marketing.

What else do you enjoy doing in your free time: I am an L2 CrossFit trainer. My athletes range from 3 to 70 years old.

One random fact about you: I collect classic Jaguars and participate in car shows.
