Sarah Oltrogge is the communications and member relations specialist at Central Iowa Power Cooperative in Des Moines, Iowa.

Sarah graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Journalism/Mass Communication, Public Relations emphasis. She kicked off her career as a cub reporter at a small weekly newspaper, where she worked her way up to editor. Looking for a job with better hours and stability, she settled into a job with the State of Iowa and spent the next 14 years as a public information officer for the Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs. In 2013, she brought her skills and experience to Central Iowa Power Cooperative. Sarah loves her work—as well as spending time at the lake with her boyfriend, Mark, and the rest of her family. In the off-season, she enjoys cooking, starting home improvement projects on her 1908 bungalow (finishing them is another matter!) and saving old buildings around Des Moines.
