The Cooperative IT Community Mentoring Program is designed to help IT professionals grow and expand in their role at the cooperative, develop leadership and mamagement skill sets, and help organizations support and retain top talent. An experienced mentor can help new employees get acclimated, decrease their learning curve, and build their national cooperative network. The program fosters collaboration and cooperation among cooperatives and exposes participants to new ideas and approaches in their development of communication and other professional skills.
Mentors and mentees are matched by needs, skills, and experiences. The program offers mutiple resources to help you structure your mentoring relationships including regular coffee hours with fellow program participants, guidence on your role in the partnership, meeting structure and prompts to help get the convesatons going, a mini book club to share between mentors and mentees, and much more!
