​​On December 15, NRECA, along with the Edison Electric Institute (EEI), Xcel Energy, and others, met by phone with the staff of the FCC's Wireline Competition Bureau to urge the Commission to deny the Petition for Declaratory Ruling submitted by NCTA – the Internet & Television Association requesting that pole owners be required to cover a substantial portion of the cost to replace a pole to accommodate new communications attachers.
