On June 24, 2020, NRECA, along with a broad coalition of interests going by the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) Coalition, met with staff of the FCC's Wireless Telecommunications Bureau to discuss proposals to incentivize voluntary secondary spectrum market transactions between licensees and non-government, industrial entities. A robust secondary market for spectrum would help make sure such entities have access to vital spectrum which can be difficult and expensive to obtain.
