​​On September 2, NRECA, along with the Edison Electric Institute (EEI) and Utilities Technology Council (UTC), filed comments with the FCC opposing a petition for rulemaking filed by the NCTA – the Internet & Television Association (NCTA) asking the FCC to require utilities to pay for a substantial portion of the cost of replacing a pole when necessary to accommodate a new communications attacher.
