​NRECA filed a motion to intervene in support of Ohio Valley Electric Corporation's (OVEC) complaint seeking to prevent FirstEnergy Solutions from using its bankruptcy filing to unilaterally reject its long-term wholesale power contract with OVEC. Such a result would adversely impact not only OVEC and its rural electric cooperative owners - Buckeye Power, Inc. and Wolverine Power Supply Cooperative, Inc. - but also NRECA members more generally due to increased costs that would necessarily be passed on to their consumers.
