​NRECA filed brief comments with the Department of Transportation in support of the agency's proposal to add oral fluid testing (in addition to urine testing) for workplace drug and alcohol testing programs.  In our comments, we agreed with the agency's conclusion that the use of oral fluid testing would be less invasive in the case of a requirement for observed specimen delivery.  We also agreed that oral fluid testing may reduce employee cheating on drug tests.​
