​On November 15, NRECA filed comments with FEMA regarding its draft Public Assistance Simplified Pro​cedures policy. NRECA appreciates FEMA's efforts to simplify the Public Assistance procedures, as the process for successfully applying for Public Assistance funds can be lengthy, confusing, cumbersome, and involve duplicative and repeated requests for the same documentation. While any movement toward clarity and simplicity in the Public Assistance procedures is greatly appreciated, NRECA's comments included suggested refinements​ to the draft policy.
