​On May 11, NRECA filed comments on FEMA’s proposed policy "Hazard Mitigation Assistance: Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities".  These comments simply remind FEMA that electric cooperatives are ideal partners with state and local governments to develop mitigation projects to protect infrastructure and communities.  Although not eligible to receive Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities (“BRIC”) funding, electric cooperatives can partner with eligible entities to proposed mitigation projects for FEMA BRIC funding.
