​NRECA and APPA filed comments on July 18, 2022, with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) in opposition to the agency's proposal to require speed limiting devices on Commercial Motor Vehicles in excess of 26,000 lbs.  Our comments cited better than average utility driving records, cost, and regulatory burden concerns and noted technologies that utilities are adopting to monitor driver safety.
