​​​​NRECA submitted comments on the Department of Commerce’s proposed waiver of BEAD Build America Buy America requirements for certain key construction and manufacturing materials, expressing strong support. Easing these rules will help ensure that co-op awardees will have timely access to key materials and in turn, successfully fulfill buildout timelines under the BEAD program. We also advocated lessening reporting burdens for potential NRECA grant recipients.​
