​On May 11, NRECA filed comments with the Rural Utilities Service (RUS) on the implementation of the Farm Bill Rural Broadband Grant and Loan Program established in the Farm Bill. NRECA called for the program to prioritize grant funding to low-density areas and to allow for matching funds to be utilized on a pro-rata basis over the life of the grant rather than expended before accessing the loan or grant funds.
