​On February 22, NRECA, along with the Utilities Technology Council, the Edison Electric Institute (EEI), the American Public Power Association (APPA), the American Petroleum Institute (API), the American Gas Association (AGA), the American Petroleum Institute, the American Water Works Association (AWWA), APCO International, and the International Association of Fire Chiefs, filed comments with the FCC opposing unlicensed client-to-client operations because such operations would exponentially increase the risk of interference to licensed 6 GHz microwave systems and make it even more difficult to resolve interference complaints. ​
