​NRECA and several other organizations representing rural communities sent a letter to Congressional leaders and the chairman of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) on the opportunities presented by the potential reallocation of C-Band spectrum (3.7 - 4.2 GHz). We urge the FCC to auction the C-Band spectrum instead of allowing private entities to sell and profit from it. We also urge Congress to direct the FCC to set aside a signficant portion of the auction proceeds to support the deployment and sustainability of both fixed and mobile broadband infrastructure.
