The Energy and Wildlife Action Coalition (EWAC), which includes NRECA as a member, submitted comments with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) on its Draft Nationwide Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement (NPEIS) Evaluating the Environmental Impacts of Proposed Modifications to the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). EWAC raised concerns with respect to how the NPEIS would require project proponents to demonstrate Endangered Species Act (ESA) compliance.
