NRECA submitted comments to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) on its Proposal Rule on Minimum Training Requirements for Entry-Level Commercial Motor Vehicle Operators. NRECA recommends that FMCSA exclude the electric utility industry from the Entry Level Driver Training requirements. We support ELDT for drivers who have been disqualified from driving, drivers who wish to become eligible to transport hazardous materials, and those that wish to drive school buses. FULL FILING
