​NRECA, along with the Utilities Technology Council, the Edison Electric Institute, and the Gridwise Alliance, submitted reply comments to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) on its notice of proposed rulemaking in which it may expand eligibility in the 4.9 GHz band to include utilities and other Critical Infrastructure Industry (CII) entities to promote more effective use of the spectrum band. The 4.9 GHz band is used by the public safety community. The reply comments also argue that the FCC should not consider access to the 4.9 GHz band as a substitute for continued access to the 6 GHz band by utilities. FULL FILING
