​NRECA submitted comments to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in response to the Fourteenth Broadband Deployment Report Notice of Inquiry (NOI). The report will include an assessment of the current state of broadband deployment and whether advanced telecommunications capabilities are being deployed to all Americans in a reasonable and timely manner, particularly in rural areas. NRECA supports the FCC's continuing efforts "to close the digital divide." Deployment of fixed broadband service (at or above 25/3 Mbps) in rural communities would increase incomes, improve education, and provide better access to healthcare services.
