​NRECA, along with the American Public Power Association (APPA) and the Edison Electric Institute (EEI), filed comments in response to the U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission’s (FERC) Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NOPR) on the latest NERC cybersecurity standard revisions. The trade associations support approval of the proposed standard and agree that it will improve the baseline cybersecurity posture of responsible entities. However, the trade associations do not support additional modifications proposed by FERC in the NOPR, and encourage prompt action by FERC to approve the proposed standard without modification.
